As he did with "I Love Rock and Roll", the 'subtle' (I guess ultrasonic, lol) piano Laguna played beneath/in-exact-conjunction-with Ashman's guitar riff to make it sound, "more fuller". Every time I hear either track from now on, I'm going to listen real, real hard for that piano!

What bass did John Siegler play on Utopia?

I love Utopia's first two LPs! Especially their debut, such high-end 5-star prog-rock fare! Yeah, Siegler isn't even a wiki-entry (his name isn't even in red; just unclickable black). In addition to those two LPs already mentioned, he also was onboard for an album I just mentioned on another...

Tony Levin's stick parts on bass?

I really need to explore me some King Crimson! Of course I always knew of them but never got around to it despite many trying to point me to them. I guess I should start with their initial phase before the 7-year-hiatus. There's always been plenty acclaim as well for their...

Here's a pretty kick-a article on the making/recording of "I Want Candy"; discussing Gorman/Barbarossa's 'Bo Diddley'-like, yet quite original approach... https://www.mixonline.com/recording/classic-tracks-bow-wow-wows-i-want-candy-365877 I would have loved to have seen them in concert in the...

    Favorite singer/bassist

How about THIS for a curve-ball...JANICE M JOHNSON from A Taste of Honey?? That bass-riff (as she was lead-singing) on "Boogie Oogie Oogie" is a supreme funk classic (notice I said 'FUNK', not 'disco' - not that there's anything wrong with disco; there really isn't)! I really ought to explore...

Tony Levin's stick parts on bass?

Being that Pink Floyd & Yes (primarily pre-'80s, that is) were two of my three favorite bands in 11th/12th grade-and-beyond (Led Zeppelin, of course, being the other), I think it's a pretty cool footnote that Levin filled in for Roger Waters & the Fish on 'A Momentary Lapse of Reason' and...

Leigh Gorman of Bow Wow Wow

Just like Mickey Mouse is SUCH a demon...Bow Wow Wow is SUCH an historically underrated band that should have lasted much, MUCH longer than they did! This is why Gorman will always be overlooked as well as many not knowing who he is if you mention his name. The same can be applied to BWW's late...
