That’s so weird, it’s definitely 2099 AUD here, can get varying discounts on that from every store. If anyone wants me to ship one over you’d save some money buying from Australia haha!

Nah, like I said - the bar is very low. The not nice thing about that is having to tell people they don’t meet that low bar. The reason I wrote everything is to fast track us to gigs, not to tell people what to play, and the players who’ve come through have been cool with that.

Agreed, we’re all around 30 and I feel like we should all be mature enough as musicians and people to be objective and honest about what serves the music.

Update: bass player not happy I want to try another bassist as well as her, so she’s dipped out. She spoke to the drummer and he’s out, as he was keen on a family thing. As I stated in the original post, I want musicians who are capable that I can let do what they want to do with the songs.

what it really boils down to for me

This was my gut feeling about it, I was trying to not be a prick and let things flow but usually when ignore my gut I come unstuck. It occurs to me now I should suggest they start a band that suits them, all they need is a singer.
