    Cool, thanks everyone. I still have to take it in for a set-up, though it plays quite well. And as much as I like have those 45 year-old strings on there, I might restring with rounds.

    Hello, Can anyone shed some light on this bass? It belonged to my wife's uncle, who died suddenly in 1966, leaving this untouched until I inherited it in 2002. Still has the original flatwounds on it. Invalid Link Removed Many thanks. Doug
