I have a newer Sub series, and love the sound of this el cheapo. What can I say this bad boy just sounds great in the mix. I decided to remove the old finish and do a custom paint job, unfortunately the family cat decided the pickup wire looked fun and removed it from the shelf on my bench...

I had an 1983 precision elite, all the Elites used that bridge. Considered by many to be the finest bridge Fender ever produced. Rare to see one with the fine tuners still intact

The BB for sure. Great bass bro. If you want a great cheap active bass get a Sub by Sterling, earnie ball. I love mine powerful preamp good sound, a good rock bass. If i were in your shoes would go with the BB no doubt . No pun intended

Its a single coil for sure. Great bass, can't go wrong.

I have both, the fit and finish on the ray are a plus. The eqs are different, the subs eq is a monster, have to back the bass way down, still awesome for the money. A great player Keep in mind I picked up a excellent used ray34 for only $50 more than a new sub .
