Forgot to mention. There's a hole in the back at the heel of the neck. The previous owner moved the strap button there. I moved it back to it's rightful place on the horn.

Finally got the Jack Casady case, and it fits the body DeArmond Starfire bass perfectly. There's about five inches of unused space at the end of the neck portion of the case, but the body is held in place very snugly and it doesn't move around at all.

I just bought a Dearmond Starfire on eBay that didn't have a case. I don't think they even made a case for the Starfire, and even if they did, good luck finding one now. At any rate, I just measured the Starfire, and from the dimensions described above, it sounds like the Jack Casady case...
