Well guys...I went ahead with it. I must say the bass sounds and looks so much better with the EB0 pickup (to me anyway :D). And aside from the resale value, there really isn't a down side. I'll try to get some pics up of it later

That bass looks amazing! I still need to talk to my luthier and see if he can do a good job of it but I think im convinced.

I appreciate the advice man...I was haveing the same discussion yesterday with one of my friends. I know I really dont know what will happen in the future but I hope not to sell this bass. Also I have an EB-3 and I love the muddy sound :D. True I dont know how it would mix with the back Ric...

I was thinking about that...I need to go home, take my pickguard off and do some measuring. I don't have a huge problem cutting out some of my bass; but the less the better.

well I love my Ric's bridge pickup tone and I love my EB0 neck pickup tone....I figured if you could get both on one bass, life would be complete:D

I have been daydreaming lately about modding a Ric with an old Eb0 pickup I have laying around. Every Ric I have ever played never has a loud neck pickup and the bridge pickup just blasts over it. Anyone else ever have this idea? and if so would it work??

well I don't about Japan being better made then America...and I may get some heat for saying that. I'm just an USA kinda guy I guess...Anyway to me, Squier basses are pretty hit and miss. I have played a few that played pretty well and some that were just garbage. But if it is just where it is...

I use a foam mute from time to time. It gives you a staccato uprightish kind of sound. For blues, country, or classic rock it just kills. But I dont think it would work well with heavy or new age rock tho.

Ok so after doing to research I found a VBC 412 over in England. It's gonna cost me about $1100 for the cab plus shipping if I go that route. really doesn't seem worth it. Another cab I found on Craigslist was a Marshall Super Jubilee 2x15. The dude wants $775 for it and a Marshall MB450H...

I hear alot of people use an Ampeg 8x10 with this head and love the sound. I'm kinda afraid an 8x10 would be to big for me to move by myself and for some of the places I play at tho.... What do you mean when you say the Marshall cab is ported if you dont mind me asking?

Really? I figured for an all tube head, 400 watts was about as big as you can get.

Thanks! I have never heard of acme or bergantino cabs...and I never thought about getting a Mesa. the Mesa 2x15 sounds pretty cool, I may try to do a little research on them
