Apologies if there's a stickied thread for this purpose. Didn't see one. Here's the bass in question. I can clearly see the G&L logo on the headstock, but google searches are not turning up anything resembling this bass. Could it be a vintage G&L neck on a fender body?

Apologies for bumping an old thread. Question for ms-3 owners: Could I use two different dirt pedals in the external loops and configure a stereo chain to send each loop to a different amp using the same built in effects after the loop?

I just got the Vintage Ultra v2, and using direct output, if I barely touch the Cab Sim button, I get static and hiss, and more if I wiggle it. Faulty switch?

I owned a 4003 first, and then got a J to go with it. Very happy with the J over a P. Here's why: to me, having a neck and bridge pickup is invaluable. I can get 3 different, distinct sounds out of the bass, and everything in between. On any of these pickup settings, the J still sounds...

I agree. That's a tasteful look for a modern solid state amp. Classic TC design. Programmable settings would be nice to have. If I ever want a light weight class D amp, I'd look into this. My opinion is that all class D bass amps sound roughly the same, the main difference being how the preamp...

Yes, I admit it's not a totally fair comparison. Also, there's the Marshall JMP Superbass which looks just like the normal JMP. This was supposed to represent the amps I noticed walking into Guitar Center (minus the Hiwatt).

Aesthetic is always a factor. If everything was function, we'd all be wearing Dickies jump suits and playing Steinberger basses.
