I'm using an Apogee but with an iPad 3 so no lightening. Love the retina display! So much nicer than my wife's iPad 1 display.

    Got Rocksmith?

Jammit has score and tab. My only issue with it is you have to buy bass and guitar separate but I play both. It's another good option though.

    Got Rocksmith?

Well then get your wallet out as the game now includes bass. If any of you are Rush/Geddy fans they are adding some Rush songs next week.

    Got Rocksmith?

I do but tabs give you the fret number right on the note where you are already looking. Rocksmith wants you to look in two places at once and try to line them up as they move around zooming in and out. Who thought that was a good idea?

    Got Rocksmith?

It's not even tab. I think it must have been inspired by prior music games like Rock Band. It's the worst part of the game in my opinion. Still it's a fun easy way to get in some practice on a variety of song types with the full original recordings. It's probably not for you if you're more...

    Got Rocksmith?

It's a good tool for practice but it does have some issues. The main ones are there is a bit of latency and the presentation of the music is game style rather than actual music notation or even tab. To get past the game starting songs on an easy level with few notes you need to go to riff...

    Irig/amplitube low volume

Hello. I've been discussing a similar issue in this thread: http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f43/amplitube-ampkit-gk-amp-kind-review-762948/index3.html#post13431405

Amplitube, Ampkit and GK amp: A kind of a review!

I don't have a definitive explanation but its working fine for me now. I did an os upgrade to 6.0.1, I closed all programs, I opened Amplitube, double checked all levels and the sound was good. I have to keep the input gain to 3 or less, I'm using he bass amp, but that's fine. The fuzziness...

Amplitube, Ampkit and GK amp: A kind of a review!

Duke, Thanks for your reply. I'm using a Fender Japanese P bass from the late 80s with Seymour Duncan active pickups. The first thing I set was the input/output levels in Amplitube to make sure neither is overdriven. I do use headphones driven by the iPad. It seems to drive them fine for...

Amplitube, Ampkit and GK amp: A kind of a review!

I tried the Bass amplifier and the Fender Bassman. I listened to some of your recordings Duke and I don't hear any of hear any of the distortion I'm getting.

Amplitube, Ampkit and GK amp: A kind of a review!

I tried Amplitube today with an Apogee Jam and I'm getting a bit of distortion if I use any decent volume whatsoever on the amp. I checked the input level and its fine. It's mainly on the lowest notes on the E string. I'm using the bass amplifier. I don't have the issue in GarageBand. It's...
