I've looked into the fender Rumble 500 and even their smaller rumbles, but I just can't say I'm a big fan of any Fender amp for the sounds money to get. They certain are not bad, just not what looking for. I've never been a huge fan of how they sounded. Again, thank you for your input!

To be honest the only reason I had it on was because otherwise it sounds very harsh and arguably even worse. I've done it with both contour on and off, but I think getting a basic bass EQ pedal could prove to be a little helpful. But I will definitely try your suggestion
