I think once you turn on effects then the choice of scale (and wood and pickups...) matters a lot less because you can alter the signal so radically with effects. I just picked up an Ampero multi-effects box and it has this "Bass Crusher" pedal simulation that's modeled after a yellow pedal...

Thanks! Thanks for the heads up! I think I technically missed this deal but they gave it to me anyway. When I did a search on their site the unit was listed for $250 but on the detail page and when added to the cart it came up as $300. I suspect they had updated the price in their database but...
