I just added the Aggie stingray pickup to my 90s ray and it really came to life. Much more quack and vocal quality without losing the big thump. I always thought the 90s one sounded a little bland and wanted to change the pre or pickup. I did the pickup first and that seemed to do the trick...

Yes, it was carefully done. The pickguard is non original. I was using it w no pickguard (ala Jaco) and no routing shows.
