Can I knock down the brightness of these fret inlays?

Thank you - I also think the fretboard looks great (except for the markers). I love rosewood. I love maple, too, and roasted maple, but rosewood most lol :) I don't know what the markers are made of. It's a 2017 Jazz American Professional if that helps.

Can I knock down the brightness of these fret inlays?

Greetings, I want to knock down the brightness of the fret inlays on my 2017 Jazz fretless. It's a rosewood fingerboard. It's ok if the inlays remain visible after the work. I just want them to end less bright so the bass looks more "fretless," if you get my drift. Can someone please school me...

Getting back to bass gigs after 25 years. Had to renew my game. What do you think?

Oh! I thought octavers like steady loud noises. I'll give it a go!

Getting back to bass gigs after 25 years. Had to renew my game. What do you think?

Thanks, man! The BassRig can't send simmed output down its amp line, so the JS2 lets me send simmed sound to the house and to foldback if necessary. The unsimmed amp out on the BassRig itself can send to a stage bass amp ... if the gig calls for one.

Jazz fretless truss rod seems like it’s out of gas

Based on the radius of the neck at the 19th fret marker, I've set the bridge to a 9'5" radius. I don't yet own a good straight edge, but I have feeler gauges. On the 4th string (0.105"), with a capo at the first fret marker and the string pressed to the 12th fret marker, I'm measuring 0.006"...

Jazz fretless truss rod seems like it’s out of gas

I never knew about loosening the strings before now and I completely understand why that would help. If I thought a couple of washers would help -- what are the chances of finding washers of the proper OD to fit in the nut cavity and the proper ID to fit over the rod? Is it then as simple as...

Jazz fretless truss rod seems like it’s out of gas

Greetings - my 2017 Fender American Professional Jazz fretless feels like I shouldn't tighten the truss rod any further ... there's a lot of resistance ... have I hit the end of the truss rod threads? Don't want to snap that rod! I don't think there's anything unusual about my setup, using...

Cali76 CB case and control knob colors

Thanks, Jacob - I just ordered a silver/silver CB from Chicago Music Exchange. Looking forward to hours of tinkering ;)

Cali76 CB case and control knob colors

WRT the Cali76 CB, are the various case and control knob colors just a cosmetic choice? Something tells me, “There’s more to it.” So, fellows, what’s the difference between them, if any? Thus far I’ve encountered cases in natural silver, white, blue, and black. I’ve seen all white knobs, one...

    Fridges... A dying breed?

I miss my Harke 410 XLs. I carried those things into bars and theatres for a decade of more. Sold 'em to a backline company a few years ago. Still have the SVT 300T and F2-B and Symetrix 501. In an old rack on a shelf. I miss my big heavy rig but my days of big and heavy are behind me. The...

    Show your HEARTFIELD DR'S...

Hi, this is my first post on TB. Thanks for having me. Ya'll have posted some great pics. Here's mine, taken just this evening. It's a pic of a 25+ year old, very faded tatoo of my redburst Heartfield DR-5. In 1989, the yellow and orange flames stood out vivdly against the black and red...
