awesome thank you everyone! Yeah I could probably get a better combination but it's a good deal (I'm getting both for about 750 canadian$). Plus, I'm hoping this will bring out the lower end when i switch to drop D now and then. I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow!

actually no I'm just ******** apparently lol i meant to write 4 ohms :S not sure how I got to 800 ohms...but yeah the cab runs at 300 watts for 4 ohms. that complicates things doesn't it?

so...as long as I don't crank the amp up to 11 it should sound good and be loud enough...or did I understand wrong :P

I have a question... I'm buying a Traynor DynaBass 800H that runs at 800watts for 4 ohms, but the cab im buying with it runs at 300 watts for 4 ohms. Would this work and would it be loud enough to play a good-sized gig at? Would I have to worry about blowing a speaker?

Hello All, I'm planning on buying a Traynor DynaBass 800H (runs at 800watts for 4 ohms...sounds pretty loud :P) but I'm buying it with a Fender 2x12 and 18" cab that only runs at 300watts for 800ohms. Is it just me or does something sound fishy about that combo? Doe this mean I'll be able to...
