    Fender Aerodyne Club!

Thanks! I really like the way it looks. Better than the photos, for sure. And it's so easy to play.

    Fender Aerodyne Club!

FGW has restocked their $599 Aerodyne Precision and Jazz models. They are in "Used-Mint condition" (brand new but without Fender warranty). I bought a red burst P two weeks ago (which is excellent) and I just ordered this Dolphin Gray Jazz. MIJ for less than the cost of MIM. Fender Aerodyne...

Aerodyne basses $599 shipped free at FGW on Reverb

I had the same experience with my red burst P bass. Definitely was a brand new instrument, and I'm very happy with it. I played a gig with it last Friday and my bandmates loved the tone.

What’s the best deal you ever got on a bass?

A Squier Jaguar VM SS bought on TB for $225 delivered. Had been upgraded with Seymour Duncan pickups and Hipshot tuners. I now play this more than any other bass I own. Quite unexpected.

Has someone ever damaged your gear?

This happened to me for the 1st time last week. I was at a local party and decided to use a Markbass Little Marcus head I just traded for. This was the 1st time I had brought this piece of equipment outside of my house. When setting up I noticed the AC cord was a bit exposed between the outlet...

Can I use a ceramic (SiO2) car coating on my bass?

I decided to give it a try on the Squier. The results look good and it only took a few minutes to apply. The neck is quite slick (not that it was sticky before). Would definitely recommend.

Can I use a ceramic (SiO2) car coating on my bass?

That's what I'm thinking. I wouldn't try this on my Carvin basses since they have an oiled finish. But the Squier Jag will probably get the treatment today.

Can I use a ceramic (SiO2) car coating on my bass?

I've read that some automotive waxes can be used on instruments, at least those with poly finishes. Has anyone used one of the newer ceramic coatings on their instruments? I'm thinking about trying Meguiar's Hybrid Paint Coating, which has been great on my cars. It's very slick and hydrophobic-...

What year did you start playing bass?

1967, in the fourth grade orchestra (the music teacher was Miss Jackson). I had been taking guitar lessons from the age of seven, and my teacher Mr. Sugar suggested I learn to play bass because "All of the kids want to play guitar. Bass players are in demand." Turned out to be great advice.

Squier Jaguar Bass Short Scale @ Juno Beach Thrift Shop $250

I'm fairly sure these were $199 new. I have one and it was an exceptional bargain at that price. In my opinion these are definitely worth 250 bucks if in decent condition.
