    4 String For Drop Tuning?

I've recently recorded with my band (Djent/Metalcore) a song in Drop B on my Fender Jazz 4 String , and used the DR DTT Drop tuning strings - 115 gauge, and it sounded great, the B wasn't floppy at all, and was articulate throughout. I play the song live on the 4 string too now, because it still...

5 String Recording - Best way to get badass tone

Hi TB Fam, I've started home recording for my bands EP, and I'm new to recording and recording software. I'm after super clear, clean bass tone, and currently my B String sounds like wet garbage. I play fast technical material (think Periphery/Architects) and I need each note to punch through...

    Cheap(ish) Djent/Deathcore

Yeah I did. But I was hopeful. Cant blame a boy for trying.

    Cheap(ish) Djent/Deathcore

Hell TB family, I have recently joined a Djent/Deathcore project, and looking for some hints and tips for effects pedals to complete my sound. So far I run my Warwick $$ Corvette into my Sans Amp DI, into my orange terror bass, but I am looking for a pedal, or combination thereof, to give me...

Reasons to tell people why you're no longer in a band

I've told the truth once. Two weeks ago. I told the singer that his music/over bearing personality made me wanna quit music all together. He didn't take it well. I'm very close friends to one of his neighbours, and a coupla days later he turned up at their apartment loaded asking why I'd left...

    DR DDT Strings

TB String Crew. Recently purchased a SUB5, for a project in drop G, the factory strings are balls, and the low G sounds way too muddy. I'm looking at replacing them quick smart, and from doing the most rudimentary of Google searches, can across DT DDT Strings, perfect for down tuning...

    Fender Jazz Bass?

I used my fender jazz modern player for a hardcore/math rock project I did a few years back and that handled it very well, especially when played through an Orange Terror amp. That motherfricker had balllls man. You don't need EMGs to get good metal sound. My Spector has two EMG's, and I prefer...

The Official Warwick Club (Part 6)

My concern is that the tuning pegs and the electronics cover say made in Germany, but no-where on the body does it say where its made. That being said, it sounds so freaking good, I don't think I mind if it was a Kirean version.

The Fender Modern Player Jazz Bass Club

My MP Jazz is back in the UK (I'm in australia now). I miss her so bad. Trying to save monies to ship her over, but just bought a Warwick Corvette, so she remains at my parents place gathering dust, such a shame.

The Official Warwick Club (Part 6)

I took the plunge and bought it! I know the standard series is made in Korea, but mine says made in Germany on the back, so I'd assume this is the case. It is hands down the best bass I've played/owned! As you say, the neck is a little heavier than I'm used to (spector and fender jazz owner)...

The Fender Jazz Bass Club Part Seven!!!

I miss my baby so much. I have a Modern Player Jazz back in the UK (I'm in Australia now). Trying to get the funds to get her shipped over. Do we have any Modern Player owners here? What are your views vs American Standard/Japanese Models?

A new bassist looking for advice.

Absolutely dude. I'm self taught. Just used to watch my friends plays the guitar and copy them. I've been playing for 15 years now, and never had any complaints from the people I've worked with. This community is great for advice and tips aswell, keep asking questions and watching bass lines...
