DR DDT Strings

TB String Crew.

Recently purchased a SUB5, for a project in drop G, the factory strings are balls, and the low G sounds way too muddy.

I'm looking at replacing them quick smart, and from doing the most rudimentary of Google searches, can across DT DDT Strings, perfect for down tuning.

However, a review I've read said they get real dull real quick. Anyone use them and could offer a lil more advise on them/better recommendations. I'm currently tuned in GDGCF.

I wouldn't say they get dull quick, but I would certainly say that they are not as bright as your typical stainless steel strings. They sound much more like nickels. They growl great, just not with a brittle top end. I love em.

I used them tuned ADGCF. 145 low B and the 55-110 set. Worked great, nice tension.
