Just checked and the out it is the same level as what you put in. So I guess that makes it instrument level.

Great question. The thru output is the unaffected signal, so I would imagine it is the same level of what is going in. I will double check and get back to you though.

It is absolutely stunning in person as well! It is an orange but not obnoxious enough to say look at me, a little darker a more subtle (classy) candy orange. My favorite color, so much so that I bought the precision version.

If you mean an active bass into the input of the preamp then yes. It does not have any attenuation input/switch on the front end but I have not experienced any unpleasant driving of the input with hot signals and the headroom of the input is substantial. In other words should work great with...
