For a microphone for upright bass the DPA 4099 is the últimate correct?

Shadow is what I have right now just to practice at home. I'm just wondering if there is a more acoustic sounding pickup out there.

If I'm playing without amplfication I want my upright bass to have a thick boomy sound. If I play with amplification I just want it to sound as acoustically similar as posible as when I don't have amplification but just louder. I have same exact strings I have on my very resonant 3/4 laminated...

Good question and I didn't know there existed different models within each brand. Within both brands and models which do you recommend for the most purest acoustic sound?

Why would you want to tune a tololoche in E,A,D,G? In my opinion (and a ton of people) the tololoche sounds better in A,D,G,C since it is a 1/2 size and resonates better in that higher tuning. If you are convinced make sure you get tololoche strings. (Either nylon base with nylon roundwound or...

Manny Tololoche doesn't use the tololoche tuning.....he tunes in E A D G and his Instruments are really standard 3/4 sized and not the tololoche 1/2 sized. The term "tololoche" is useful for him to cater to the latino audience.
