This is my plan of attack at this point. Go with the D'Addario EXL160BT set, and add their .160 Lowest to highest string G=.160 C=.120 F=.90 A#=.67 D#=.50

Thomas, that's what I was planning on doing, but the .105 for an F seems a little much. I think I'm gonna get D'Addario's EXl160BT set for my CFA#D#, and get their .160 for the low G. I've found it in tapered and full. My bridge is a top load, which would be preferable?

I'm looking into the 801/802 combos for my acoustic group. I play a Boulder Creek EBR6-N5 through an Ampeg BA110. Our drummer is on the louder side, but I need more watts without gaining any size or weight to the cab. I set the EQ flat on my amp, but have to run it around 1:30-2 on volume.

And when I meant "overkill", it's I regards to how loud it is. I usually keep the Gain at halfway, and the Master at 2, MAYBE 3.

I prefer D'Addario's EXL160BT Balanced Tension set for C Standard on my 4. I use DR DDT 5 string Heavys on my 5 for G.

Putting together a '51P with 2 Jazz pickups, and was curious about if my idea for wiring to a 2 pot control plate is possible. I was thinking of running a master tone pot and a volume pot for the bridge pickup only (as the neck pickup will always be on full). Thank you.
