Might Start Down-Tuning Again, Need String Gauge Suggestions

I'm rejoining some friends that I used to play doom and hardcore with to play in their new band. I'm probably going to end up playing bass for them again. They're still tuning to C-standard just like our old band, though it might change, I don't have the bass that I used for that band anymore which was a '51 P-Bass RI. The string-though bridge and long scale helped with the low tuning but I never found a string that I liked and really worked. Now, I don't have that '51 anymore, I traded it for a regular MIJ P-Bass that doesn't have a string-thru bridge. What string brand and gauge do you suggest for a vintage spec '62 P-Bass, I think that's what these SQ Squiers are supposed to be. For tuning to C-standard?

Any 5 string set would work good, something like a .045-.130 set, just don't use the .045, and you'll need to widen the nut slots.

Bryan Beller uses the 4 lowest strings of a 5 string package and tunes his bass up half a step. He uses a .130 - .045 set (without the .045 though )

I'd prefer a 120 or 125 low string for C standard.

DR DDT 5ers in .135 B size. Heavy. Nice.

I prefer D'Addario's EXL160BT Balanced Tension set for C Standard on my 4. I use DR DDT 5 string Heavys on my 5 for G.
