Hello recently bought a Spector RST 5, and love everything about it except the tone I am getting out of it. I know that I am will be replacing the preamp as I feel that the stock Aguilar OBP-2 is a very heavy handed preamp that isn't giving me the flexibility I am looking for in a 2 band preamp...

Wasn't sure where to post this question, so apologies if this isn't the correct forum. Anyways, I'm looking to replace an Aguilar OBP-2 with an EMG preamp in my Spector RST 5, but would like to keep the Spector knobs. Does anyone know if they will fit on EMG's pots?

Update: I was able to find an RST at a guitar center yesterday, downside is it was a 4 string version. However, in the 20 minutes I had it I was impressed by the feel, tone, and the weight of it! It must've only weighed 6 and a half pounds. Does anyone year own one? And can anyone give me the...

My current main is an SR5005 Prestige, but it's not light unfortunately. I also have a GWB1005 which is like 7.8lbs and it's become my go to lately, but it is fretless and I'm ultimately not a fretless all the time kinda guy

Absolutely agree. I'm in no rush to start running around on stage 😬 I just started to lose the tingling in my hands and have been able to play again in short bursts. It feels so great to play again!

Not that these aren't great instruments. I just want to believe regular 34" maybe 32" scale basses are still in my future. I'm only 36 so hoping this heals relatively well and I get a few more decades of bass playing 🤞😬🤞
