I've had an SVT II pro which sounded boss, heavy and plenty of gain. I sold it to size down my 8 space rack for just an SVT VR. I wasn't sure what I was getting in to but I'm totally pumped on it. I play it with a Ratt distortion pedal and its got a mean tone. I'd go all out on any all tube...
