Rascal looks nice among the short scale (30”). Squier vintage modified telecaster bass is a standard 34”. The squier neck is thinner (more playable) than fender vintera (more close to original 72 bass). The sound is similar (I played both but the in different occasion and with different strings...

okay, I'll tell you the truth: Sting's new bass is a handcrafted bass (genuine Fender neck) made by an Italian luthier (jacaranda) who has his shop in Milan.
