And that's interesting about it having a lot of low end since with the caps and resistor values it has it looks like it would sound pretty tinny (like an Animato lol) maybe it has to do with the animato end stage?

^that's good to know, Im going to be experimenting with all kinds of trannies and caps/resistors so hopefully I find a combination that's bassy and still has the attack. What transistors did you use btw? I've been looking all over trying to decide which ones would be best for the animato stage

The animato is basically just a big muff with an extra 2 transistor overdive stage before the "big muff" part that gives it that animato bite. The end "recovery" stage is also different but I don't know how much of a difference it makes. That's one of the reasons I want to make a couple pedals...

Yeah I saw crowellas, the difference is that one is made as an exact copy of the animato, a guitar pedal, but mine would be bassier since I replace basically the whole middle with a Russian big muff

So as I'm sure you guys are aware, someone finally degooped an Animato and made a schematic. Looking at it, it's very similar to a big muff which gave me the idea of making an Animato around the Russian big muff for better use with bass. I'm currently working on the schematic but was wondering...
