Both pups on, but when I just play with myself, I try everything. I don't even hear the difference if you put, for example, neck pickup all the way on, and the bridge 2/4 on, it just sounds like just the neck pickup on my Squier Jazz. But anyway, both pups on, give you the most powerful sound :D

The "oooh, youre playing very fast! You are the best bassist ever!" stereotype. And the "I can't hear the bass" stereotype. Meh, this got me sad.

Hi all Squier owners! I'm in. I use a red Squier Standard Jazz Bass, with a tortoise shell pickguard, made in Indonesia. Pretty nice, and just awesome for slap. The bassist in my dad's band mostly doesn't carry his 70's Fender Jazz, but plays my Squier... Ah, proud of it! If I get some time...

Been using Rotosound Swing Bass 66 pure nickel Roundwounds for three months now, went thru several gigs, and I must say, they get better with age :D great strings, but maybe too... somehow, stiff? At least on a non-modified Squier Jazz ;)
