    This is so true. My ears now make me almost useless as a bass player. I was never able to read music so I played by ear and made cord changes by feel. Tinnitus is something I would not wish on my most hated enemy! Tom

    Flatwounds & Gibson Midtown

    I just purchased a new Gibson Midtown. While the bass sounds great, I don't like the feel of roundwound strings. Has anyone replaced the strings on a Midtown with flatwound strings? If so, how did it affect the sound of the bass? Tom
