Would you buy a bass online?

Thanks for this, I found the bass I wanted on their site and I've placed an order. A 30 day money back guarantee made it worthwhile. Cost about £200 more than the UK dropshipper I found through Google, but then Thomanns actually have a guitar to sell!

Would you buy a bass online?

Well... this is the problem. I also believe that every bass is different, so its a bit of a crap shoot. I'm after a Fender deluxe american jazz fretless. I'd really like the black one. Alternatively I might go for the standard model. There are two Mexican standards in Denmark Street, but...

    All the Truth About Jamiroquai

Yes... these are so very close. I don't think that there is the 'freedom' of jazz in this kind of music, so to me, the influences are worn a bit too heavily on the sleeve for a claim of originality. The feel is similar, just at a slightly different tempo.

I only discovered this site a week ago... now this! I want to go to the London Event but I've never been to the indig02 venue... does anyone know where its good to sit to see the band as well as hear them. Is the Kings Row section the best, so called VIP, so I guess it must be?

    Fretless conversion - Warmoth neck

Thanks for all your feedback... I'll probably get a local luthier to sort the nut / set it up for me once I have it basically in place. I'll check out the bubinga option as well. Lighter woods probably look better because the bass is a silvery colour.

    Fretless conversion - Warmoth neck

I have a US Jazz that I really like but I want to return to playing fretless. From reading this forum it looks like a nice alternative might be just to buy a new neck from Warmoth. Tonally I'd like that 'mwah' sound. I'll be sticking with roundwound strings. Visually an all maple...
