Peavey Foundation S / treble bleed caps

well, pulled the treble bleed caps real quick, plugged her back in and still doing same thing: with both pick-ups cranked, if I back either one of the volumes off more than 1/8 turn, this dramatically alters output level (up, or at least it sounds like the output level goes up) & tone .....it's...

Peavey Foundation S bass / complete rewire

this makes sense now, thanks bassmanrocke .....my yellow & white wires are "not" connected, they are just clipped off with heat shrink on their ends and they must've been connected when I tore everything out of the cavity .....

thanks guys, found a ton of the Jazz bass wiring diagrams on the web, as bassmanrocke says I would .....guess the issue now is what are my hot wires, what are my ground wires and what gets taped off & not used with my brown / yellow / green / white wires for each pick-up ...I will look at the...

Peavey Foundation S bass / complete rewire

thanks Mech .....oddly, the guitar was wired with the yellow & whites taped off, the greens as grounds and the browns as hots when I got it but you are saying that is incorrect usage of the wires or not in series humbucking ......if there is any way you can forward or send me the stuff you found...

Peavey Foundation S / complete rewire

got that, thanks Stone Soup ….but the treble bleed caps are on the volume pots ….I'm now trying to figure out what the actual TREBLE POT cap value needs to be ?? ….one would think it should be a .047 but who knows what Peavey decided to do when they built these basses ….I...

Peavey Foundation S / complete rewire

Stone Soup is correct, that green cap on far left goes from case to case(or back to back), and correct: case is ground so both sides of that cap are going to ground ….which means it does nothing - correct ?? ……also, the value of the cap on the tone pot has me confused ?? what...
