Been playing since “64” myself. The reason vintage guitars and cars are up in value is due to baby boomers. Retired plenty of money and trying to feel the magic of their youth one more time. Then there are the idiots.
Oh, and the 1967 Fender Bassman is just a sweetner. As someone mentioned earlier, I had previously owned a bassman, a showman and a kustom amp back in the 60's and didn't keep any of them. Just proves how stupid you can be as a teenager.
