    NBD - Epiphone ET-288N

I really like them. These are the earlier versions, so they have the truss rod adjustment at the headstock as opposed to the heel, and they have 5 bolts holding the neck, the new models have 4 for some odd reason. But, everything good you’ve heard about them is true. I’m sure the newer ones...

    NBD - Epiphone ET-288N

No, it’s a full 34” scale. Fortunately, even with the shorter upper horn, it doesn’t neck dive past the 3 o’clock position. That’s using a 2” nylon strap, so I’m pretty confident a 3” suede strap will keep it exactly where I put it. I’d test it, but all of my wide straps have Straplocks...

    NBD - Epiphone ET-288N

This is interesting. It’s the same bass, sold from a shop about 20 miles outside of Chicago. They had it listed correctly and for a lot more than I paid. I’d love to know how it ended up getting sold off online through a seller in Maryland as a Rumblekat...

I’ll see if I can rustle up a few tones on it later.

    NBD - Epiphone ET-288N

I spotted this bass listed last week as an Allen Woody Rumblekat and couldn’t believe my luck. It had only been up for a few minutes, and the price was so low that I didn’t even bother making an offer—I hit Buy It Now immediately and held my breath until I saw the tracking number appear. It...

    Ibanez BTB Club, Part 2!

I ended up letting it go. I just couldn’t justify it. It was prettier than my other BTB, but quality wise. It didn’t feel any better, it didn’t play any better, and I didn’t think it sounded better. I have three different 500s and I actually prefer those.

    Quilter Labs InterBass!

    Hi, here’s the one I’m using https://www.acdcpowershack.com/products/dc-inline-rocker-on-off-switch-cable-dc-jack-2-5-x-5-5mm-male-to-female-dc-power-connector-copy?_pos=1&_sid=179114c05&_ss=r

    Ibanez BTB Club, Part 2!

Valid points. But with the BTBs, I keep one in my car for downtime between patients, and the two I keep at home are in different tunings. The 1000, though, is completely redundant. Since I don’t prefer the Bartolinis and I’m not big on aesthetics, I’m having a hard time justifying keeping it...

    Ibanez BTB Club, Part 2!

I’m trying to decide whether to hang onto this BTB1000. I’ve already got three BTB500s with the Ibanez preamps and I love every one of them. I hunted down a 1000 thinking it would blow me away—honestly, it didn’t. It’s nicer looking, but I don’t think it actually sounds better, and I feel like...

I keep my Interbass on my workbench and fixed its only flaw.

    Ibanez BTB Club, Part 2!

BTB600E update. I returned it to Guitar Center. The 34” scale was a deal breaker. I’m sure they’ll post it back on their website, so keep your eyes peeled if you’re in the market for another MIJ 4-string BTB.

    Ibanez BTB Club, Part 2!

Thank you so much. Not knowing was killing me. I had no idea it was 34”, I have 3 other BTBs, all 35”. I guess I’ll have to see how I like it when it arrives.

Can you all help me ID this BTB? I can’t figure out the model.

Thanks for the heads up, I think I fixed it.

    JACK CASADY BASS PLAYERS CLUB!

Here’s some shots of my new Casady! A couple years back I bought one and loved the sound, but it had a few issues so I ended up sending it back. Ever since, I’ve been keeping an eye out for a Korean-built model with the rosewood fretboard, and I finally came across this one. It looks like it’s...
