Haha I get a lot of fun modding my basses. I could get usable tone by using eqs, but they have to be quite extreme. I think there's a lot of room for improvements on this bass.

Well, there are a few reasons why I don't want to do that: 1. I like my Squier CV Jazz and I regularly use it. 2. I'm trying to explore more tones. 3. The Yamaha has soapbar pickups and it looks bad if I just shove Jazz pickups in there. sissykathy, do you have any recommendations/suggestions?

Well, I guess fantastic as the shape, color, neck and everything else except the preamp. But that's for a future debate. I think I'll try to find a foam to stick it on the back of cavity cover.

No, it doesn't sound through the amp. But it annoys me. Would applying a foam to shielded cover kill the purpose of the shielding? Changing electronics is just my preference. I'm not the biggest fan of the preamp here, as the bass frequency feels bit "narrow" or "shallow".

Hi, So I've read through the thread and I get the feeling that I don't really need this pedal. But I WANT it.... I have a Jazz bass with Audere preamp installed going into three stomp pedals (sonic stomp, B3k, comp). I also have an Ashdown ABM500 Evo. Would it be redundant to get this pedal?
