Got the MC and a J6 arriving next week... Will be able to confirm then. Mainly fishing for opinions.. Already have other straight PJ (RS824) and thought this could be an interesting flavor change/add to the herd.

Any thoughts/opinions on swapping the Super P5 for a J6 on the neck position of an 83 MC924 and add a trisound switch. I am assuming pickups are same dimension so no routing needed...

I found mine in Reverb, bought from store in NY. Took me a couple of years of looking! They definitely are rare birds in any case. Saw a couple for sale around Europe in the past year though.

Hi ther, Don't have the bass around. Are the bridge pickup dimensions the same as a typical jazz bass bridge pickup (3.735"), slightly longer than the neck?

I got an rs824, getting annoyed with the hum of the bridge jazz pickup. I am planning on adding shielding to the cavities hoping to alleviate the problem. As a plan b I am also looking into swapping the bridge pickup with a dimarzio dp123l and leaving the P4 in the neck. Sounds like a good...
