I hate this topic so much. I think a lot of the “bass is easier” people basically are mostly doing rock, punk, some sub genre, folk or country. I would agree that in these genres, bass isn’t doing much. Your average bar band pumping out thei metallica / acdc / garth brooks / tom petty / kansas...
