yes, I think electric bass sounds great through the Coda R, perfect for upright bass. Upright eq on one channel electric eq on another... and if need be AI makes specific external cabinets for the Coda like you said. Sorry to be a little of topic, but what pre amp do you guys think would be...

Do you guys think I could get a decent "true" upright sound with the Eminence and the realist out of a GK amp? What I'm asking is do you need a pre amp, and a top of the line head/cab to get a good sound out of the Eminence?

Hey guys, I can't deal with moving around my upright bass in school buses every weekend for high school jazz gigs... it is very unsafe for the the bass and it has caused me many problems... so I am looking into an electric upright. I like the idea of having one that has some kind of a body...

Good post, before Pablo picked up a melodica it was just considered a toy... He is a very underrated musician at least in the United States. I think he was a lot more known in the UK.

Well, I play a lot of jazz with the Fender but I also play a lot of other stuff... I play a lot of Grateful Dead songs so I guess some rock too. Its hard to say because I play a lot of different kinds of music, jazz/blues/rock n roll The main thing is i need new strings and know nothing...

Have any of you guys heard this album? Nat Townsely plays drums, Ron Long plays bass, and there is an organ player who I forget the name... I think it may be Sheddrick Mitchell or something. The album is amazing though! My question is... on the track "Nat Thang" is Ron Long using a voice...

I have been playing with the same strings on both my basses (Fretless Jaco 62 Jazz Bass re issue and a Warick Corvette 5 string) I could use some opinions on what strings would be good with what bass... I know its up to me but I would like some outside information and opinions... Thanks

I actually dislike that song as well as the whole Frances the Mute album... listen to Deloused in the Comatorioum or The Bedlam in Goliath... I really hear a modern Led Zeppelin.

Musically I believe the Mars Volta is a lot like Zeppelin almost like a modern Led Zeppelin.
