Thanks, JazznFunk. Are you referring to Brown's Bass Method for Jazz and Blues? And do you think there's enough applicable there for a "young" electric bassist studying jazz and blues to be worthwhile picking it up? Asking for a 75-year-old friend ;)

drwv: Obv replying to an old thread but found your comment while researching this topic. Was/is your acoustic Fender a CB-60? If so, did you keep it strung with the LTFs and if so, experience any lift issues with the bridge?

Hi folks. Wanted to test the fretless waters and have bought the JB-40FL. Did a quick intonation out of the box to give it a go and I'm pleasantly surprised. But I thought it odd that the nut wasn't level; it's like a wedge, higher at the E and lower at the G. It appears to be properly seated...
