I've playeing a G&L ASAT bass. I absolutely love it. The neck dive isn't as bad as it's being made out to be (my experience) but if you could try one before you buy, that would be ideal.

Hi fellow GK enthusiasts, Has anybody found a "fix" to stop the intermittent wifi noise on the MB combos?

Would there be any point to putting a Plex in front of an MB212-II combo. I like the tone I get from the combo but would like to have the option to change voicings, add distortion and compression. Would adding the Plex preamp cause damage to my combo's amp?

They may be moving on from you. It seems like they are doing things to maybe get you to break up with them instead of them breaking up with you

Hey Folks, I was never very good at learning songs by ear, so in the laziness of youth, I hardly did it. My ear is what I consider to be the weakest link in my musical journey and I would like to improve on it. Does anybody have any tips, hints, tricks, or exercises that can share. TIA

Same happened to me a while back. I stopped playing bass and took up classical guitar for around 4 years. Suddenly the urge for bass pulled me back in. Short story long, maybe find a different instrument that interests you, but try to continue playing something.

3 basses in 35 years. 1st was a p-bass copy that was given to me. I learned on it for about a year. 2nd was a Charvel ( it was the 80's). Played that for about 5 years and bought a G&L ASAT in early 90's and used it ever since. I should buy a back up bass one of these days.

Not sure about the Legacy or Fusion, but on my MB Combo, the headphone jack does mute the speaker

Let us know what you think about it, I've been thinking about picking one up also.

I went through a similar situation when I switched amps from SWR Silverado to GK MB212. I found that lowering the volume on my ASAT to about 3/4 eliminated the rattle. As someone else mentioned, those pups are hot. I would have sworn a speaker had blown. Do you not have a parallel/ series switch...

I'm kinda seeing a comparison of apples to oranges in the comments. In one sense, when one creates music in the purest form, just for the sake of creativity, what is the competition? Who are you competing with? In another sense, when is out trying to land gigs, auditions, getting into schools...

Yes...visualization. I learned about it from an interview I saw with Karl Malone from the Utah Jazz. In his minds eye, he would visualize himself shooting 100 perfect free throws every night and his free throw performance greatly improved. I do it with scales, visualizing my fingers on the frets...
