I don't think it would do anything GOOD for the sound. AFAIK, the bridge feet apparently rock from side to side (imagine standing with your legs apart and going from one foot to the other without bending your legs).

Really glad to see it's not just me suffering from this problem...! I won't really say my hands 'cramp', it's just that they get tired like really quickly. I play for about 10 minutes and my hands are done! :o

Final result with setup... There is a also a very definite difference in sustain across all strings since my refinish job. However, I'm not sure whether this is because of the finish, or whether the fact that I had swapped the strings in the pegbox has something to do with it.
