Thank you... sounds like both the VT and SH will do the trick for me. I have some thinking to do!

Tech 21 Steve Harris Fly Rig

Hi all! Just wondering if the SH1 will fit my needs. My setup is basic. Jazz with flats, playing Eagles tunes (Sorry, Dude). My current amp has a very flat response, just how I like it. I may tweak a bit for the room, etc. I'll push the pre a bit to get a little bit of a glow, and off it...

    Ibanez Promethean is incredible!

Glad you worked it out! I still love my Promethean. I’m surprised they didn’t do more with it… there’s not much else like it (apart from the GLX, of course!)

    Ibanez Promethean is incredible!

That’s interesting. I wonder if Ibanez just licenced it from somewhere else? FWIW the marketing copy I found for the GLX suggested the head is removable…

American Vintage II 1966 Jazz Bass...

I picked up this used 66RI a few days ago... I bought blind, so I was a little nervous after reading some of the posts on this thread... but I got lucky. It's absolutely perfect. Fit and finish are spot-on, with no sign of some the issues others have reported. The neck pocket is vacuum tight...

NBD: MIJ "Late 60s" Traditional II Jazz w/ Matching Headstock

Hello! Couldn't resist this one. Never seen another in the UK.. not sure how many there are outside of the Far East, and maybe Australia...? A pretty unique spec - ovals, matching headstock, blocks & binding. Board is a lovely dark bit of rosewood, body is basswood. Pickguard was switched...

    G&L Club Part 7

Hi everyone! I'm unexpectedly joining the club... I picked this beauty from 1998 up over the weekend. It's the one that appeared in that year's catalogue. It's stunning. Medium weight, very resonant... looking forward to gigging it tomorrow night.

    The HandBox Amplification Thread

Are US regulatory specs likely to differ significantly to EU specs...?

Best way to do it is to email Leszek at [email protected] :-)

    The HandBox Amplification Thread

Yeah, that should absolutely not happen. As mentioned above, bass & treble at noon, maybe the drive switch engaged (although maybe not with a Stingray..) and that should be all you need. These heads are very non-coloured, so I'd be surprised if it was introducing anything strange into to the tone.

    The HandBox Amplification Thread

It's all by ear - I wouldn't expect the clip light to come on unless the power stage was being driven hard. Turn the gain up until it sounds good to you (clean, glowing, dirty) and turn the power stage up to stage volume. For me, with passive P's and J's, the input gain usually lives between...
