    25" scale micro basses anyone?

So my Glarry GW101 came in yesterday. Cool little thing! I think it's going to be just what I was looking for. Can't beat it for $109 including shipping. I don't know how they make any money on these things. It does need work right out of the box though ... setup and shielding, as others have...

    25" scale micro basses anyone?

I pulled the trigger on the yellow GW101 today. Also contacted GoldTone via chat. They said the MBLS flats "should be ok for 25.5". Cool, can't wait!!:hyper:

    25" scale micro basses anyone?

@Bassamatic what strings are you considering? I'm looking for flat wounds. Maybe GoldTone/LaBella MBLS. @Avezzano I love the black bridge, knobs, etc. Classy! You tried the custom Pyramids but not happy?

    25" scale micro basses anyone?

Would you consider the color as actually being "yellow"? Looks like a nice honey or golden stain. Asking because I'm leaning towards getting this exact bass. Thanks!

    25" scale micro basses anyone?

Yes, I have checked out the Squire Mini-P. It's on my short (pun intended) list, but am hoping to go a little shorter than 28.6 since I already have a 30" and I'm only seeing them in black and red. Since I play in a uke group I'm trying to stay away from bold colors. I like the $$ of the Glarry...

    25" scale micro basses anyone?

Hello. I've learned a lot from reading this thread and thanks to all the contributors. I'm a newbie (~2yrs) bass player. I play bass for a local uke group. I currently own a Squire Mustang (30"), Kala Journeyman U-Bass (20.8"), and a Michael Kelly Sojourn (24.75"). None of these have hit that...

    Material for block inlays ???

Thanks for all the responses. I'm going to try the epoxy instead of ebony or corian. I do have the added challenge of doing this on a neck that is already radiused and fretted (I plan to remove the frets). I'll be buying a cheap neck off ebay for testing before I tackle my good neck.

    Material for block inlays ???

Hmmm... I'm very intrigued with this idea. Do you level the epoxy while it's still wet or do you leave it proud, then sand & level after it's dried? Do you have any photos?

    Material for block inlays ???

Black epoxy, huh? Wouldn't have thought of that. Can you buy black epoxy or do you have to mix something with it to make it black? Can you finish over it? It buffs out to a shine?

    Material for block inlays ???

Hello. I've got a maple neck with the typical black dot inlays but would really like to have black blocks instead. Anybody ever installed black blocks? If so, what material did you use? I first thought of ebony. Then I read that Warmoth uses corian. I've seen black mop on the internet but...

Need specs for '69 P bass fretwire

Hello. I need to get a '69 P bass refretted using fretwire like the original or at least as close to original specs as possible. Does anybody know the crown height, width, tang size ,etc for this bass? Thanks!

    Epiphone Jack Cassidy wiring

Talked to Gibson tech support. Here's the schematic they sent to me.

Yes, the transformer is there, just not wired like the schematic. It's totally different. What do you think about the pots? Should I use the 25k or try to find 2.5k? Lowering the resistance value of the pots will make the tone a bit more warmer ... is that right?

    Epiphone Jack Cassidy wiring

Yes, I think someone has done some work on it before I got it.

Thanks! Your wiring diagram looks a lot like the schematic but I'm no expert. At least the pot wiring looks the same, but I get lost at the switch and transformer. My bass does not have any caps or resistors wired to the pots and my pots are 25k, not 2.5k as indicated on the schematic. Have you...
