25" scale micro basses anyone?

Would you consider the color as actually being "yellow"? Looks like a nice honey or golden stain. Asking because I'm leaning towards getting this exact bass. Thanks!

I agree - it is more a home color, but they called it "yellow". I did not want one that was natural or red. I am sure there is some variance in the color when received. I really sounds very good. now that the strings have lost some "zinginess". Like a very good J bass with D'Addario XLs on it. Gotta start searching now for replacements when these wear out.

@Bassamatic what strings are you considering? I'm looking for flat wounds. Maybe GoldTone/LaBella MBLS.

@Avezzano I love the black bridge, knobs, etc. Classy! You tried the custom Pyramids but not happy?
Sorry to say that, because at Pyramid they were very kind and professional, but the E is absolutely unplayable. I've found a black nylon coated Galli E string. I've made the experiment to put some Attack glue past the nut (to block everything) and wrap over some sewing red cotton; then I removed the plastic wrap after the Attack, so to have the internal core naked and to insert it in the tuner. Voilà, issue solved: a solid and sustaining string! Today I am going to remove the Pyramid set and buiyng the other three black Galli strings. Wasted money on the custom Pyramid set: 60 euro!

You will forgive my snob attitude: the hardware is not only black; the tuners are Warwick branded with W stamped on the back (probably Gotoh?) and the bridge is Wilkinson with brass saddles. Both perfect replacements.

Damn: it seems rhat the black Galli E I bought from the local shop was the leftover from some old stuff! Difficult to find the other three. Let's see. The appealing factor of this black nylon flat set is that you can custom determine the length by the Attack glue! Ok, whatever!

So, on the left the flat nylon coated Galli E string, treated with the Attack superglue and red sewing cotton wire! On the center, the Warwick tuners and on the right the "zebra" bass front shot with three chrome flat Pyramid strings and the black Galli one! From a functional point of view, the bass now is perfect: the E has lot of sustain and clarity; plus, the level is homogeneous with the other three strings. I would really like to know why the Pyramid E string sounds so bad... meh...

Sorry - the MLBS fit my 26" Des Lauriers bass. But they should fit the 25.5" Glarry as well.
Here's the 26" fit - the 25.5" should just bring the silk ends a little closer to the tuners.

The Gold Tone/La Bella MicroBass flatwound MBLS string set (aka MBSLS on the eBay) set is available from a number of European vendors but...eh, you'll quickly notice the common thread:

Thanks, bud! Well... they must ALL be crazy: basically they sell double price than what you pay in the US (and you must add postage fare)!!! I will keep my "zebra" string set, then...
