Would you consider the color as actually being "yellow"? Looks like a nice honey or golden stain. Asking because I'm leaning towards getting this exact bass. Thanks!
Ok then, thanks! It’s short, anyway.
Sorry to say that, because at Pyramid they were very kind and professional, but the E is absolutely unplayable. I've found a black nylon coated Galli E string. I've made the experiment to put some Attack glue past the nut (to block everything) and wrap over some sewing red cotton; then I removed the plastic wrap after the Attack, so to have the internal core naked and to insert it in the tuner. Voilà, issue solved: a solid and sustaining string! Today I am going to remove the Pyramid set and buiyng the other three black Galli strings. Wasted money on the custom Pyramid set: 60 euro!@Bassamatic what strings are you considering? I'm looking for flat wounds. Maybe GoldTone/LaBella MBLS.
@Avezzano I love the black bridge, knobs, etc. Classy! You tried the custom Pyramids but not happy?
You will forgive my snob attitude: the hardware is not only black; the tuners are Warwick branded with W stamped on the back (probably Gotoh?) and the bridge is Wilkinson with brass saddles. Both perfect replacements.@Bassamatic what strings are you considering? I'm looking for flat wounds. Maybe GoldTone/LaBella MBLS.

Yeah - they fit perfectly and sound and feel really good. Thanks to @KohanMike for letting us know they fit.I pulled the trigger on the yellow GW101 today. Also contacted GoldTone via chat. They said the MBLS flats "should be ok for 25.5". Cool, can't wait!!![]()
What about the E string?Yeah - they fit perfectly and sound and feel really good. Thanks to @KohanMike for letting us know they fit.
Anybody aware where to find these strings here in Europe? Checked with Thomann, but this specific Gold Tone MBLS set is not available... ??? Anybody can help ???Sorry - the MLBS fit my 26" Des Lauriers bass. But they should fit the 25.5" Glarry as well.
Here's the 26" fit - the 25.5" should just bring the silk ends a little closer to the tuners.
