Finn: I just read your thread about Pahoehoe strings. If someone locally had them then I could compare to aftermarket strings. Mine is fretless so I want a smooth string or a wrapped one. Wish I played for pay.

Replaced the original carbon composite nut on the HOG with a bone nut today. It was time for new strings anyway so I brought it to my luthier. He oiled it and corrected what it needed. Year old sounds better than new. Now it sounds like an upright unplugged. Too nice not to play everyday.

I just joined a Uke group and their chord letter song sheets are online. Never heard these songs before and the ones I find on utube are all Uke. Are you guys saying to play the chord root then walk a bit to the next chord root? Or play the root then the other notes in the chord in a box style...

I kinda had a similar experience through email. I think they are on commission or some sort of incentive other than keeping their job. So I went with fullcompass and asked if they could do better than MAP for a descent order. Just ask when you are ready to buy.

Don't get the replacements. They are die cast. Ask for the real ones. The mahogany acoustic has them.
