Hello, I read somewhere about upgrading/replacing the volume and tone pots on an Epi EB0, rather than swapping out the pickup. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I bought an Epi EB0 about a year ago. So far, I bought and installed a Hipshot bridge to replace the original one. I like this bass.

And another update: I know that I said I was going to leave well enough alone, but I had some extra cash and I gave in to temptation. I bought the hipshot bridge, installed it, then I took it to a shop and had the bass setup. The tech adjusted the neck and set the intonation. The bass sounds...

Update: I took the EB0 to a tech today who checked it out. The neck adheres to factory specs, and the tech then said what some of you have said, part of the mild fret buzz is due to the lower tension of strings on a short scale. Like I said, the buzz isn't really noticeable when playing through...

Thanks for all the responses folks! The fret buzz is not severe, and I don't really notice it when playing through an amp, only when playing unplugged. Also, I have to confess that I have been guilty of wanting to modify something just for the sake of modifying it. So, I'll probably take this...

Hey folks, i recently purchased an Epiphone EB0 short scale bass. The only issue is a bit of fret buzz on the E string mostly. I was wanting to upgrade with a Hipshot ultralight bridge anyway. The neck looks straight, what do ya'll think?

All my basses have at least gotten Shaller straplocks. Right now I only have one bass, sold some stuff to get rid of some debt, but it has Shaller straplocks. Its a Squier Jaguar VM short scale.
