Adjusted the truss rod and reset the intonation and it is playing better. I going to check out the pickups section.

I have a new P bass deluxe but I like the feel of the Jazz neck better. It seems the j neck has 4 holes and the p has 5. What kind of damage would I be doing if I swapped necks other than a new hole in the j neck. Are there any fitment issues other than that?

The downside for me would be having to sell all of my pedals on a gamble that I would like it. I will if any local shops have one in stock and play it.
