I'm surprised I haven't seen Ampeg mentioned. I have always really liked the B-15, though it's nowhere near the $700 price. (From what I have seen lately, the prices for B-15s, especially the older tube versions, are pretty much insane.) But Ampeg does have a couple of combo amps in the price...
