I gotcha, the amp head has quarter inch inputs but the mic has a box that effectively takes an XLR in and allows me to use a 1/4" out to the amp. Don't know if that gives me the only important thing I'd get from a pre amp or not. Or if a preamp gives a little bit of a chance for the sound to...
