When I try to play my bass through my amp, I get no noise from it unless I touch one of the magnets on the pickup with my finger which makes a huge buzzing noise. Otherwise I've checked my cables and amp with another guitar and they work fine. So is the problem the pickup, and if so are there...

Thanks for the advice bro. Oddly enough I did the clap test and my left hand is the one that strikes.:hmm: However I'm going to give a couple more left and right guitars a try and see which one works more.

Hey, I want to start learning how to play the bass. My problem is that I'm left handed, but when I pick up a right handed bass it feels right, and when I pick up a left handed bass it feels weird. Should I stick with right or go with left as I am left handed.
