Yes the pickup has been malfunctioning when I got the bass, this is why I took it apart - seller asked for video and pictures... Seems to me that was a display guitar as there are also black marks on the neck. Although advertised as new... Seller wants me to send the guitar to his distributor...

So this happened. Cable snapped, and since the unit is sealed no way to solder a new one... Anyone has any methods to get through this, before I'll melt half of it? Quite disappointing as its new guitar, I could send it back but would rather just get it fixed. If only i had an xray i could...
