Talk me off the ledge, please....

I had this one for almost a year. However, I was used to Fender basses for decades and the ergonomics of the Rick just didn't work for me. It was beautiful to look at, though!

Sean Hurley Fender CS P-Bass / String Mute Q

I almost never use the mute on mine because it isn't very strong. But I love the rest of the bass!

    Buying back an old bass

I have three older Fenders that I sold to bass buddies years ago, and bought them back later when they were tired of them or bought new whatever's.

Les Paul Junior Tribute DC Bass - how's it holding up?

Well, "Gibson is Gibson" and while I agree 100% regarding an updated SG, I am very, very happy with my LP Junior DC. I have nine other basses (all USA Fenders) and I am still stunned regarding how good this short scale Gibson bass is. 3 of my guitars and one Epiphone are Gibsons, and I like...

Storing bass cases is a pain.

A baker's rack works for mine.

What is your main bass and why?

I have two main basses - a '65 Fender Precision for gigging and a Custom Shop '62 Fender Jazz for recording.

    Show off your bass room

This was part of what used to be the original homeowner's dining room. The guitars and basses are stored on Baker's racks in the master bedroom and the office.

How many Bassists use no pedals?

I use zero bass pedals onstage, but I do use a couple in the studio....These.

What flaws make vintage Fenders affordable, but still worth buying?

IMO, too many mods plus being a mid-70's, both of which negatively affect its value. A brand new American Pro II would be a better value (and a much better bass).

Have you ever tallied how many basses you have owned over the years?

I've had too many basses over the years (since 1973) and now have downsized to 10. (9 Fenders, one Gibson) One that I let go of a couple of years ago was a Rickenbacker 2003S. I was like a beautiful woman that ended up being mean as a snake. This was it....

    Fender Bassman TV series...No club???

Fender really messed up when they dropped that bass series.

How many of you out there just plug straight in and play? No effects, just pure bass and amp?

I switched back to plug and play a long time ago. I still have the (very) small pedalboard that I used back then, but now only for occasional studio recording.
