    heavily modified Rat / EQD life with discrete germanium DOA (app14ge), 10 hard clipping diode configuration and 2 soft clipping veroboard build so i will keep mess inside just for myself :P

    Own design - discrete opamp (same as in API preamps) booster with transformer / germanium diode saturation.

    if it is a single coil and rods are metal - just remove old magnet and put neos (north side up towards the rod) and this will work. If you mix polarities in single coil signall will be attenuated when playing on more than one string
