So maybe I didn't say the right word by saying the low frequency was noticeably lost. Like the link said, switching to series will give you a boost in mid-range. That boost is eating my low.

I suggest you hear the tone character of J's in series wiring before deciding to make it permanently. Personally I dislike it. The low frequency was noticeably lost. It's probably the reason why most J basses don't come in series wiring.
I wasn’t satisfied with the preamp on my Cort GB75. While the slap switch feature was my favourite, the treble and bass boost/cut just not enough to my taste. I was thinking of going in passive mode only but a standard tone pot simply didn’t do any mid-scoop. I read someone used an inductor but...
